Christmas 2009

Christmas morning was very special this year as
Addi and Maddox were at our home. We enjoyed
watching them come down the steps and see the

presents for them under the tree. Although,

Maddox was more interested in the train set that

he had received the day before for his birthday!

Addi found her Cabbage Patch Triplets and books.

Maddox received a Thomas the Train Lego set.

Jenny got busy putting the train set together.

Addi watched!

Maddox discovered a new book as Mom is showing him
his new backpack.

Then Matt, Kristen and Turner arrived! Adam joined us too.

We enjoyed opening up presents with just our

immediate family before lunch with the rest of

the Boone Family.

Once our family got together, then the rest of the Boone

Family arrived. Marilyn, Ron, Emily, Doug and Bryson.

Julie, Joel, Jodie, Katie and Jay. Lunch was great as usual.

Everyone brings something tasty and we enjoy Christmas

Lunch together.

Before unwrapping Christmas gifts, Maddox enjoyed

opening gifts from The Preddys, Nortons, Isleys and Whites.

Here's our handsome Bryson just waiting patiently for

the Christmas gifts to be given out.

Addi and Uncle Adam worked together to give out the

presents to everyone.

But one gift couldn't be found...Jay's gift from Adam. Adam

just knew that he had it and that he put it under the tree.

He even had Maddox to slide under the tree to look for more

gifts. Finally, Adam remembered that he had put Jay's

gift into a recycled bag that went to Mamaw and Papaw

last year. That tag was left on the bag, so we thought that

it was for M & P, to be given later in the evening.

Jay was patient and kind, waiting for the gift to appear.

Finally it did!!! Poor Uncle Ron, he is still waiting on his

present that Adam owes him from last year!!!

Adam and Addi continued giving out gifts, then asked,

"Does everyone have a gift?" Katie and Matt Boone didn't

have a gift. So Adam searched under the tree once again,

but all the gifts had been given out. Then we asked who

had drawn those two names and I realized what had

happened! I drew Katie and Matt's names for Jenny and

Matt D. many weeks earlier. I shared with Jenny the

names that they had to buy gifts for. But I also told her

that I'd take care of the gifts because she was flying from

Russia. They had enough luggage to deal with as it was for

the four of them. So...it was Mary Ann's fault that Katie,

nor Matt Boone had no gift to unwrap! And I felt so bad!

Katie and Matt were so kind about it. Just for the record,

I went shopping and those two had their Christmas presents

from Jenny and Matt only a few days later. How embarrassing!

Ron, Emily and Julie...We were so happy that the Nortons

came back to High Point to be with everyone for Christmas.

Alabama is a long way from here!

Gifts for Bryson...

Addi continued to deliver gifts to Bryson!

Regretfully, the battery for my camera died and I didn't

get any pictures of our Staton get-together at Sherman and

Sandy's house. Mamaw and Papaw, Sherman and Sandy,

Sherri and Ric, Matt, Kristen and Turner, Jenny, Matt,

Addi and Maddox, Adam, Kit and I enjoyed more food, and

gift-giving. If I can get the pictures that Matt B. shared

with me to enlarge and format correctly, I will add them.

They are great pictures, but too small to put on the blog

right now.
